Rural Soul with a Contemporary Touch
This former barn, originally used for farming, has been fully converted into a residential home. The project is structured around a large central volume housing the living room, dining area, and lounge. Existing stone and brick walls, as well as original openings, are preserved and highlighted. Upstairs, a raw steel walkway connects both wings of the building. The use of glass panels with aluminum profile fixings results in a very clean design that reveals the interior space. The minimalist and refined design language of the interior continues outside: grey stone is reused around the pool, traditional timber cladding covers parts of the façades, and the stone walls are accentuated. These choices give the place its unique character and authenticity.
