Rehabilitation of an existing building Creation of a mixed-use housing/commercial hub The project focuses on the rehabilitation of an existing building and the creation of a mixed-use hub of housing and commercial spaces in Gières, near Grenoble. Context: strategic site in the heart of the valley toward Chamrousse, marked by architectural and landscape heritage (wooded hill, stream, plane trees). Program: Rehabilitation of the historic building. Demolition of obsolete structures (former nightclub). Construction of diversified housing to support residential renewal. Creation of local shops to strengthen attractiveness and community life. Landscape & Environment: integration into the natural setting through vegetation treatment, green screens, and preservation of existing landscape elements. Conclusion: The study confirms the feasibility of a structuring project that balances heritage preservation, economic dynamism, and quality of life. It transforms an underutilized site into an attractive and sustainable urban hub, approved by the local authorities.
