Duplex Renovation in Paris
This project involved the complete renovation of a duplex apartment on the 5th and 6th floors, in the heart of Paris. Benefiting from a south-facing exposure and nestled in a historic district of the capital, the objective was to modernize the apartment, which had remained entirely in its original state. The staircase, originally located at one end of the apartment, was moved to the center and became a key architectural feature, allowing for a balanced distribution of spaces on both levels. The lower level brings together the kitchen, dining room, and living area, which open onto a fully planted terrace. A large sliding pocket door provides a seamless connection to the outdoor space in summer. The upper floor houses the master suite, with a bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet, as well as a home office. Full-height doors enhance the verticality of the project. The staircase, made of wood, glass, and steel, links all areas harmoniously.
