The staircase
Description
Finesse and simplicity.
The renovation of this exceptional house begins with the redefinition of its majestic central staircase. The desire to lighten its architectural language while preserving the stone treads and risers required an extremely detailed survey to ensure that the partial removal of existing elements was compatible with the project. The creation of curves along the stringer adds lightness and fluidity, shaping the path of the handrail crafted in smooth forged steel, shaped on-site. The complementarity of every contributor enabled the creation of this unique work that combines finesse and simplicity.
